The shadow of the revived spark

The multiverse seemed quiet after Mara and Costs faced and channeled the immortal fire in a singularity. The time was flowing again in a fragile harmony, and the song of the lonely vibrates in the deaf, maintaining the balance between the creative and dissolution cycles. However, in the depths of a distant corner of the multiverse, a barely perceptible spark, born of the primordial fire, continued to burn. And with her, a new shadow was beginning to be born.
Mara felt the first disturbance during a strange dream, one in which the flames she had believed were merge with the darkness, forming a vortex of light and shadow that seemed to expand to infinity. He woke up suddenly, with his breath, and found Costs next to her, already alert.
"Do you feel that, isn't it?" he asked, his eyes penetrating the darkness of the room. "This vibration ... It's not just an echo of the immortal fire. It's something new, but deeply connected to what I faced."
Mara nodded, still anxious about her dream. "Yes, it is as if the fire left behind a shadow. One that not only was not absorbed by singularity, but evolved into its own entity."
The two guards knew they had to investigate. Despite the quiet appearance of the multiverse, the disturbances in the stream of string had become more and more frequent in the last days, as a prediction of a new imbalance. Their decision was clear: they had to follow this vibration to the source.

Their journey through the multivers led them in an area they had never mapped. It was a place where light and darkness were mixed in a chaotic dance, creating fluctuating forms that seemed to challenge the laws of known physics. In the middle of this chaos, Mara and Costs felt the vibrations of the strings, but they were not the usual ones - they were reversed, reversed, as if the cosmic order itself had been over the head.
"It is like a broken knot from reality," Mara murmured, his gaze fixed on the bizarre flow of the energies around them. "Here, fire and shadow coexist in a way that defies the dynamic balance we have established."
In the center of that strange area, a silhouette began to take shape. It was not a complete being, but rather an entity composed of the spark of fire and the deep shadow, a synthesis of the two primordial forces. The voice that spoke to them was a combination of whisper and flame, reverberating through the whole space.
"I am the shadow of the revived spark," said the entity, and the dancing flames inside him were blending with every word. "I am neither the fire that tried to destroy you, nor the shadows that wanted to freeze you. I am the answer to your attempts to control the primordial forces. And now, I will bring a new balance. But not a dynamic one, but one defined by the absolute convergence of light and darkness."
Mara and Costs, although prepared for cosmic conflicts, had not expected such a combination of the two forces they had believed separate. This entity seemed to be a new type of power, one that does not comply neither chaos nor order, but encompassed them in a dissonant way.
"What do you want to do with this balance?" He asked the Costs, trying to understand the motivation behind this new entity.
"I want to unite what you have separated," replied the shadow of the revived spark, and his voice seemed to shake the whole region. "You have imposed cycles of creation and destruction, but you ignored the unifying potential of the two forces. Instead of letting them flow together, you have closed them in an artificial balance. I will release that potential, but not in a cycle. I will create an eternal transformation state."
This was a new and dangerous idea. If the shadow of the revived spark managed to impose its will, the whole multiverse would have been caught in an infinite process of change and simultaneous stability, a cosmic paradox that would have ended up consuming the fabric of reality itself.
"You cannot uniform the fire and the shadow without destroying everything," Mara said, trying to reason with the entity. "The whole multiverse is based on the balance between the opposite forces, not on their absolute merging."
But the shadow smiled, and the flames in his body intensified. "This is how you believe, those who were born of order and chaos. But there is a greater state, one in which there is no collapse, no rebirth. A state of continuous transformation, without beginning or end. This is the true nature of existence-not the cycles you created, but a single eternal movement."

Mara and Costs knew they had no choice. They had to stop the shadow of the revived spark before this entity spread its influence throughout the multiverse. But how can you face something that combines the two fundamental forces of existence?
"The singularities," Mara said, in a moment of inspiration. "As with the fire of the immortals, if we can channel the energy of this entity in a singularity, we can control it. But we will have to use not one, but two opposite singularities-one that absorbs the fire and one that absorbs the shadow."
Costs understood the plan immediately. Creating a tension between the two singularities could break down the structure of this hybrid entity, forcing the fire and the shadow to separate again.
Together, the two guards began to handle the strings of the surrounding reality, building two energy vortices - one bright, full of the heat of the cosmic fire, and a dark, cold one, absorbing each particle of light around. But the shadow of the revived spark feels the danger.
"You will not succeed," she shouted, and her body began to radiate intense energy. "I am more than the sum of my parts. I am the beginning of a new era!"
However, Mara and Costs continued to concentrate the energies of the two singularities, attracting the entity to the center. The shadow was fighting, but as the two vortexs were activated, they began to feel its structure disintegrate, breaking into fire and darkness.
"Not!" He screamed the shadow, while his flames and shadows were absorbed by vortex. "You will not survive without me! You have created a fragile world, and I am your only chance of true evolution!"
In a last chill of light and dark, the shadow of the revived spark was completely absorbed, leaving behind only the quiet and an empty space in the reality that had been so turbulent.

After the silence were again, Mara and Costs remained to contemplate the place where the shadow had been.
"He was right in a way," Mara said, with a thoughtful expression. "There is a fragility in the balance I created. The primordial forces we closed will continue to be released, in one form or another."
"And yet," he added to the Costs, "we managed to keep the harmony for the moment. But I know another test, something and stronger than the fire of the immortals or shadow will come. The multiverse is in a constant transformation."
Mara looked into the depths of the cosmos. "We will continue to watch, but we will have to learn from these trials. Each collapse brings with it a rebirth, but each rebirth leaves shadows that will return."
And so, Mara and Costs resumed their watch, aware that their struggles were never completed. The multivers was a place of infinite possibilities and forces that were still waiting to be discovered - or released.
