The New Foundation

MaRa was walking through the vastness of a space she could not define. The Imaginary Multiverses had only been a fraction of what he had discovered so far. Before her, a landscape that belonged to no known reality unfolded with terrifying beauty—planets overlapping in the same dimension, colossal architectures of light and shadow, and corridors that seemed to lead to infinity.

In this new universe, neither space nor time had the meanings he had understood until then. The thong vibrations not only outlined the fabric of reality, but seemed to be the primordial fabric of all that existed, a web of unexplored possibilities.

"This is where it all begins," said a familiar voice behind her.

MaRa turned slowly. In front of her stood CosTelor, a former colleague who had disappeared during a previous mission, believed to have been swallowed by a rift in spacetime. But CosTelor now seemed… different. He looked more than human. His eyes, of superhuman clarity, reflected not only light, but something deeper, as if they could penetrate the essence of any form of existence.

“How… are you here? What happened to you?” MaRa asked, struggling to keep her composure.

Costelor smiled enigmatically. "I was not lost. I was… transformed. Here in the New Foundation, reality is not what we knew. It is something greater, a concept that transcends our limited perception. Everything we thought we knew about strings, multiverses, space and time—all these are only partial reflections of a much larger truth.”

"The New Foundation?" repeated MaRa. "What is this place?"

"It is the origin of all things," replied CosTelor. “It is the place from which all universes, all realities, and all possible images of existence derive their power. Here, collective consciousness and the laws of physics merge. Thoughts not only create reality, but also continually shape it.”

MaRa understood now that this place was the unseen center of the Multiverse—a source of unimaginable power and, at the same time, danger. Once one understood how it worked, one could rewrite reality itself.

Costelor slowly approached her. “You were chosen to step here because you were the only survivor of previous journeys. You've seen the unraveling of time, the swirling of space, and the shadows of the multiverses. But here in the New Foundation, you can truly understand how to control all these forces. Here you can become more than just a traveler. You can become an architect of reality.”

MaRa felt the weight of Costelor's words, but she wasn't ready to accept it. “If you were transformed… why didn't you come back? Why did you stay here?”

Costelor looked at her for a long time, as if weighing the decision to tell her the truth. "There is no going back here. Once you have entered the New Foundation, you cannot return to ordinary realities, because they become irrelevant. What I have discovered here is far more vast than anything I have ever known. But every decision you make here has consequences not just for you, but for the entire Multiverse.”

MaRa watched him in silence. He felt the strength of this place, its irresistible attraction, but also the danger hidden in its promises.

“What if I don't want to become an architect of reality? If I just want to save the world I left behind?”

Costelor smiled again, but this time, there was a trace of sadness in his smile. "You can't go back to the way it was. The new Foundation gives you only one choice: to create or to be created. If you refuse, you will become part of the creative chaos of this place, absorbed by the energies that define everything."

MaRa felt the reality around her begin to pulsate to the rhythm of her breathing. Each thought seemed to alter the surrounding structure, as if this place responded to the presence of his consciousness.

"There has to be a way out," she said, her voice shaking but determined.

"It's not about getting out," CosTelor said, his eyes burning with a new intensity. “It's about your choice to shape what comes next. There is no turning back. You're already starting to see how the space molds itself to you. And this is just the beginning."

At that moment, something huge and invisible moved through the space between them. MaRa felt the air around her become thick, almost palpable. Shadows of giant-sized creatures made of pure energy seemed to pass at the edge of her field of vision.

"What are these?" she asked, freezing in place.

"They are the guardians of the realities," answered CosTelor in a low voice. “Entities that watch over the New Foundation. They ensure that no creation becomes too chaotic, too dangerous to the very fabric of reality.”

MaRa felt a deep fear. The Guardians didn't seem like beings you could face or control. "What if I decide not to create anything?"

Costelor lowered his voice. "Then you will be destroyed."

MaRa looked around. She knew she wasn't ready for such a responsibility, but at the same time, she had no choice. Before her, reality unfolded like a blank page of a huge book, waiting to be written. Every choice he made would affect not just this world, but all others.

"New Foundation," she said quietly, contemplating her future. "It's not just a foundation for universes. It is the foundation for everything that can exist. Everything will happen because of me…or it won't happen at all.”

CosTelor stepped forward, looking at her intently. “Now you understand. But you have to choose. What will it be, MaRa? Will you create a new universe or will you be swallowed up by chaos?”

With a deep breath, MaRa prepared to make her final choice. And then, in her mind, a thought flashed "If everything is shaped by consciousness... why should I limit myself to one reality?"

Costelor was silent for a moment, surprised. "What do you mean?"

"I will create a reality that is neither chaos nor order," she said. "I will create something completely new. A world that is both flexible and stable. A place where the guardians have no power and where the laws are dictated by those who inhabit it. I don't want to be the ultimate architect. I want to offer the freedom to create.”

Costelor looked at her for a long time, his silence speaking louder than any words. "Is that your choice?"

MaRa nodded.

Then the guards disappear and the space around her changes. The new Foundation, this primordial universe, began to vibrate in harmony with her thoughts.
