The fire of the immortals

After the temporary defeat of the shadow of the eternal flow, Mara and Costs again won on the dynamic balance of the multiverse, aware of the fragility of each reality and the constant danger of stagnation. The song alone continued to resonate, guiding the two guards through the endless cycles of creation and dissolution. But somewhere, deep in the cosmic fabric, a new force began to shake, an energy that, like the shadow, had been hidden too long.
On a silent night, while adjusting the vibrations of a reality in transition, Mara felt for the first time an unusual heat. It was not a chaotic vibration, no known anomaly. This energy was different - it was alive, pulsating, like a fire that was burning in the depths of the multiverse, waiting to be released.
"Do you feel this?" she asked, turning to the Costs.
Costs stopped from adjustments and focused on strings. "Yes ... it's something new. It's not a disturbance, but no normal vibration. It's like a latent fire started to come to life."
As they analyzed the strings deeper, they discovered an energy knot they had never encountered before. It was deeply buried in the structure of the multiverse, but it seemed to be at the same time an essential part of the dynamic flow they watched. Something asleep, but which was beginning to wake up.
"This is not just another knot," Mara said, with an anxiety. "He is an entity. And he is not alone."
Costs, with a serious, complete tone: "We have to get there before this fire takes power. I feel it is a dangerous energy, one that could destabilize everything we have built."

Their journey carried them through layers of reality that seemed older than whatever they knew. As they approached the source of the knot, they felt the cosmic temperature began to rise, and the vibrations of the strings became more and more intense. Eventually, they reached a vast spread of fire and light - a place where the strings were not only vehicles, but living flames that danced around an unseen center.
In the middle of this cosmic fire was a huge entity, a being completely made up of light and heat. She was in a state of metamorphosis, and around her vibrated other smaller forms, like immortal fires, preparing to be born.
"I am the fire of the immortals," a deep voice echoed, with a power that seemed to tear the air and burn through every dimension. "I existed before the formation of your multiverse, hidden in the heart of creation. Now, my rebirth is inevitable."
Mara and Costs immediately felt the huge power of this entity. It was not like the shadow, looking for stagnation and frost. The fire of the immortals was the opposite - it was a force that burned everything in its path, an energy that had no limits in its desire for expansion.
"Your rebirth?" Mara asked, trying to understand the nature of this entity. "What are you doing to do?"
The fire of the immortals laughed, and the flames around him intensified. "I am the primordial fire, the spark from which it all started. Your cycle of creation and destruction would not have existed without me. But now, the order you have imposed has become too compelling. It is time for my flames to flow again, to consume and to transform reality."
Costs understood the danger immediately. "Do you want to destroy everything?"
"Do not destroy," said fire, calm and imperturbable. "Transformation. Your creation is rigid, limited by rules and balances. I bring a complete rebirth, one that will not respect your cycle of collapse and rebirth. I am the eternal fire of change, and there is no order or chaos to stop me."
Mara knew that if this entity had to unleash its power, the whole multiverse could be consumed in a sea of fire, and the cycles they watched would have been deleted. But, unlike the shadow, the fire of the immortals did not seek stagnation. He sought unlimited expansion, a constant transformation that could not be controlled.
"We have to find a way to stop it," Mara said, feeling the flames begin to affect the strings around them. "If we let him unleash, nothing will be left of what we know."
Costs looked around, looking for a solution. "The onlyness. They are the only points in the multiverse that can channel and dissipate an energy of such magnitude. If we can redirect this energy to a singularity, we can blend it with the dynamic flow."
But the fire of the immortals heard them. "Do you want to close me again? Do you want to limit my power? You will not succeed. My fire is immortal!"
The flames were intensified, and the reality began to crack under its intensity. Mara and Costs knew that their time was limited. They had to act quickly. By channeling the energy of the surrounding strings, they tried to create a connection with the closest singularity, hoping they could redirect the fire to it.
But the fire was stronger than they had anticipated. "You will not succeed! I am the spark from which everything was born. Any attempt to suppress me will only feed my flames."
However, Mara and Costs did not give up. Focusing on the fine resonance of the strings, they had created a temporary bridge between the fire of the immortals and the nearby singularity. The flames that threatened to consume everything began to be absorbed, attracted by the intense gravity of singularity.
"Not!" He screamed the fire, feeling his energy drawn in the whirlwind created by singularity. "I am the fire that should release the multiverse, not be swallowed by it!"
Mara and Costs continued to concentrate, redirecting the energy to singularity. Finally, the flames that threatened to destroy everything were dissipated in the created vortex, and the fire of the immortals was absorbed, leaving behind an intense peace.

Breathing hard, Mara and Costs looked at how the strings returned to their normal state. The fire of the immortals had been stopped, but Mara knew this was not a definitive victory.
"He will come back," she said. "It is a fundamental part of creation, just like the shadow. The fire of rebirth and change cannot be destroyed."
Costs approve. "Yes, but I learned that we can channel this energy, that we can guide the change without it becoming a destructive force. We will always have to be prepared."
Thus, they had returned to their role of guards of dynamic creation, aware that their fragile balance could be threatened not only by stagnation, but also by forces that sought to transform everything without limit. But in the middle of this chaos, Mara and Costs knew that they had the power to guide the multiverse through fire and shadow, keeping the fragile harmony between cyclicality and transformation.
But somewhere, deep in the singularity that had swallowed the fire, a spark continued to burn.
